Chapter 14, Item 21a
Candlestick parts
Parts of a candle stick.
The sockett, is the place where the candle is sett.
The nose, is the length from the sockett to the broad rime round the midle of it.
The buttons or knops, are those out swelling or workes made on the nose or shanke or neck of the stick to adorne it.
The flower, is the round rime, or broad Brime, sett in the midle of the stick; on which the tallow dropps.
The bottome, is all the remaining part of the stick from the flower to the edge it stands vpon.
The edge, or cord, or florish round the bottome, if there be any.
The Hollow, is the In part, or vnder side of the bottome.

A Cyathus, a small cup full.
A Quadran, the fourth part of a pint.
A Jell, or half a pint.

Cup parts
The parts of a cup.
The Bowl the top part of the cup.
The hollow the inside of ye bowl.
The edge or rime the top of the cup.
The chaseing, is the work on the side of the bowl or foot.
The Buttons, the fillets. The Imbossings in the handle.
The foot. that on which the cup stands.
The cord or florish round the foot.
The bottom or under side of the foot.

Bellows parts
The parts of a paire of bellowes.
The Handle by which it is raised up and thrust down.
The top board.
The vnder board.
The wind hole, a square hole in the midle of the vnder board.
The wind sucker, a flap of strong Leather set ouer the wind hole within the belly.
The Leather by which the boards rise and fall.
The Twiggs or Hoops, which ly in the belly of the bellowes to keep the Leather out and in it due crips.
The sockett, in which the lower parts of the boards are fixed and Joyned by,
The wind pipe.
